Day 2 : Barcelona Hop-on Hop Off Tour: East to West Route

You can hop on and off the tour as many times as you like aboard this sliding-roof double-decker bus. The two tour routes are interconnected so you can easily hop between them to discover the best of Barcelona. Your ticket is valid on both routes. East Route:

The entire route takes 120 minutes (in winter) and 140 minutes (in summer). Buses depart every 7-15 minutes from each stop depending on the time of year. West Route:

The entire route takes 120 minutes. Buses departs every 7 - 15 minutes from each stop. Highlights include: World Trade Center, Jardins de Miramar, Anella Olímpica, Poble Espanyol, Camp Nou (F.C. Barcelona), Montjuic, L’Illa Diagonal.

Day 3 : Spend time at the hotel and surrounding areas

Day 4: Self Drive trip from Barcelona to Girona.(We will block the car and you have to make the payment at the airport from where the car has to be picked. Pls check www.arguscarhire.com for Barcelona. Rental would be approx Rs 4000/- for 2 days with a security deposit on the credit card
The driving route from Barcelona to Girona is 100km and if there isn't too much traffic, it shouldn't take more than 1 hour and 20 minutes by motorway.

Girona is a city in the northeast of Catalonia, Spain at the confluence of the rivers Ter, Onyar, Galligants and Güell. It Lies 99 km (62 mi) on north-east from Barcelona. Girona has a mild climate. In winter temperatures can drop to below −5 °C (23 °F) sometimes due to winds coming from the Pyrenees.

Girona are very characteristic of the houses hanging over the river Onyar. These picturesque houses built over the centuries by the river give a splendid of a small Mediterranean city. Day 5 : Drive from Girona to Costa Brava and back. Start early: 290 km and takes 3 hours to reach.

The Costa Brava is a coastal region of northeastern Catalonia, Spain, in the province of Girona.

This area near the frontier is marked by rough terrain and cliffs, with small bays along the coast, in contrast with the large plains of the Alt Empordà region, where its capital Figueres is located. The first town from the border with France is Portbou, which grew around the railway station. A little down the coast are the seafaring villages of Colera and Llançà. North of the Cap de Creus lies the town of El Port de la Selva, while on its south lie the towns of Cadaqués and Roses. To the south of the Cap de Creus is found the Gulf of Roses, which stretches for fifteen kilometers with beaches and marshlands formed by the Muga and Fluvià rivers, with the protected areas of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà along the coast. Empuriabrava, part of the municipality of Castelló d'Empúries, is one of the largest marinas in the world, built in the 1960s on the marshlands of the Muga river.

Return to Girona by evening. Overnight rest at Girona

Day 6 : Drive back from Girona to Barcelona airport and surrender the car there. Afternoon flight to Madrid by Spanair.

Day 7: Toledo day trip.

A highlight of any visit to Toledo is seeing the famous paintings by the 16th-century master, El Greco. Toledo was the setting for many of El Greco's artworks, and a tour highlight is The Burial of the Count of Orgaz in the church of St. Tome.

Toledo is a National Monument to Spain's art and history, combining Arabic, Mudejar Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Surrounded by the River Tajo, the atmospheric walled town is crammed with churches and museums.

Tour highlights include the amazing 13th-century cathedral, the medieval castle and Santa Maria La Blanca Synagogue. You'll also visit St. Tome Church, San Juan of the Kings and the Victorio Macho Museum. If you choose the full-day tour, your visit includes a panoramic tour of Toledo.

Day 8 Self Drive from Madrid to Valencia: The land of Tomatina Festival :

The 355km journey takes 3h30 minutes. Consider a stop in Cuenca to break up the long journey

Valencia is known internationally for the Falles (Las Fallas), a local festival held in March, and for paella valenciana, traditional Valencian ceramics, intricate traditional dress, and the architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

La Tomatina, an annual tomato fight, draws crowds to the nearby town of Buñol in August. There are also a number of well-preserved traditional Catholic festivities throughout the year. Holy week celebrations in Valencia are considered some of the most colourful in Spain

Day 9 : Stay at Valencia and explore the town.

Day 10: Drive back to Madrid. Evening flight from Madrid to Barcelona. Stay at Barcelona

Day 11: Flight back from Barcelona to Mumbai.
